HP F4480 Printer Review

“I have been using it for over two months. The only thing I would complain about the usage of ink. I am graduate student and I have to read many articles. I dislike reading them on the computer screen. What I do is to print them out, but what if there is a figure or picture on the paper, then it is gonna be disaster. The printer consumes much ink on figures and pictures. Overall, it is a nice printer unless you want to print out picture or figures.”

“Functionality is good, but out-of-box, there is no user manual, it must be downloaded. One quirk, if you print on custom size paper, go to the HP Solution Center module, Settings, Printer Settings, at the drop down list for Paper Sizes, scroll down to Custom. A new window opens. Input the custom paper sizes as usual, but you’ll notice the OK and Save buttons ae grayed out. You must RENAME “Custom” in the Name field. Then Save and hit OK. Otherwise the printer cannot remember your custom changes. The Printer software is compatible with MS Word 97 and up.”

“I have had this printer for about a month and a half now and I really enjoy using it! It prints excellent quality pictures as well as other documents, such as charts and word docs. The colors are vibrant and the black is dark. All buttons are large and very well labled. Printing is fast and i have not had any issues with paper jamming. One time i noticed that the printer pulled two pages at a time, but i never had an issue with it again, and i suspect that i may have loaded a bit too much paper. The installation was fast and easy, although i was suprised to learn that this printer does not come with a USB cable. They aren’t expencive at all, and luckily i had an extra from an old printer, but i was a little disappointed, because with my other HP printer, a USB cable was provided. This printer can be used with both plain 60 ink, or the 60XL ink. It comes with the 60XL and i find it very vibrant and of good quality. I have yet to try the plain 60. Scanning and Copying is fast and simple, and requires only the push of a button. I would certainly recommed this printer to both beginners, as well as advanced users. It meets the Energy Star requirements. I absolutly love this printer.”
